Review: Girl Online (Book by Zoella)

 Hi Everybody!
I think you all know who Zoella is and that last year in November she has published her first novel called 'Girl Online'. Last week I found it in my local library and have finally got a chance to read it. I must say I am more than satisfied with this book. Seriously I did not expect it to be SOOO good. And I am not saying it just because I am a Zoella's fan I really mean it.

This book is about a girl Penny who lives in the UK and secretly writes a blog by the name of Girl Online. And then suddenly because of some circumstances her family must spend Christmas and New Year in New York. There she meets a mysterious guy and everything starts. I do not want to give you way too many spoilers because I am afraid then it will not be so interesting for you to read. All I want to say is that this book is very modern. All the bloggers and teenagers could relate to it. It is written in a very simple and modern language which makes it easier and for me more interesting to read. When I was reading it it really felt like things that are described in the book might have happened yesterday in the real world (so, OK, maybe despite one thing everything was very realistic). There were a lot of interesting turns of events and unexpected things. Zoe really keeps you thrilled during the whole book. There was nothing in this book that I could call 'unnecessary' or 'extra'.

The cover is very pretty. And I really liked what Penny says int he beginning when she describes why did she start writing a blog. She says: 'You know when you shake a Coke and then open it and it explodes everywhere? Well, that's how I feel right now. I have so many things I want to say fizzing up inside of me, but I don't have the confidence to say them out loud.' I think all the bloggers can relate to that. This is one of reasons why I write this blog as well.

Altogether, the story line is very cute and Zoe's style of writing is very attractive(if we can call it that way? It attracts your attention, makes you want to read forward). Characters are very realistic and modern. This book also mentions nowadays problems like mental diseases, disrespectful attitude on the Internet, people that are obsessed with selfies and others. For me it is now the most favourite book after 'The Fault In Our Stars'. So great job, Zoe!

Review: Titanic the Exhibition

From March 27th 2015 it is possible to visit Titanic the Exhibition in Riga. And last week I and my classmates used this amazing opportunity to skip some lessons and we did not stay unsatisfied.
Before going to the exhibition I was wondering how is it going to be like. Will I really feel myself like at a huge ship? Or maybe it will be another boring exhibition with lots of useless information and lack of visual elements? Or will I feel myself like in the movie during the exhibition?
The answer is that the exhibition was AMAZING! There was enough of interesting information I didn't know about Titanic and its passengers. In the beginning everyone received a ticket with the name of a passenger and their short biography. At the end of the exhibition we could find out if the passenger whose ticket we received survived or not.
This is how the ticket looks like.

The thing that I liked the most is that it really felt like on the Titanic at this exhibition. I don't know if it was allowed to take pictures but I want to show you some that I have taken.
I started to feel myself like I was on the Titanic when I got to the long white corridor. I immediately remembered the scene from the movie where Rose is running at the same corridors trying to find Jake. This corridor was very long, bright and white and beautifully decorated with little lamps and a red carpet. I can't really describe how I felt when I was passing it but it was wonderful. I could imagine myself being a first class passenger of the greatest ship in the world.

The main stairs was a second thing that really impressed me. Again it really felt like in the movie. And there also were real photographs and cards that showed how the actual stairs and dining room looked like hundred of years ago. I must say the reproduction and what I saw in those pictures were very similar.

Do you remember the moment how Rose is looking at Jake from the stairs? Or maybe that moment did not exist in the movie?

Unfortunately, you can't see how beautiful was the chandelier above the stairs.

I also saw how the rooms of first, second and third class looked like. Of course first class rooms were the most beautiful ones but I would not like to live in the room like that. It's a little bit too old fashioned for me and too heavy. I prefer more simple and light things. Like instead of having a huge wooden chair I would prefer a small plastic one. And I also like lighter colours than everything brown, red and golden in my bedroom. :P

The last thing that I loved from the exhibition was the deck and fake stars sky. There also was playing the sounds of the waves. It was so nice. It made me feel very calm. It felt like I was actually sailing and I literally wanted to stay there forever. There was a bench so you could take a sit and rest for a little while.
The fake stars sky.

As we got closer to the end of the exhibition it started getting sadder. There was a lot of information about how Titanic was sinking and about deaths. Lucky me my passenger survived but unfortunately my passenger's friends didn't.
We also saw the costumes of  Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Winslet and other actors for the movie. They were beautiful. And did you know the fun fact that at the last moment somehow everybody forgot to hang the clocks on the walls so not to leave the walls naked they decided to hang the mirrors everywhere where there was supposed to be a mirror.
All in all I really liked the exhibition. I felt myself like on a little trip, like in the movie and like really on the Titanic. I would highly recommend to visit this exhibition. You will receive incredible feelings walking on the Titanic.

What was the last exhibition you visited and were very satisfied about it?

Little Things That Make Me Happy

  Hi Everybody!
I think my every reader would agree to the fact that we're all people and we all get sad sometimes or go through a hard time or feel lonely. Things like those happen. Some people go through this phase of life more often and longer and for some people it's not that big of a problem but we all face moments like that when we feel sad.
What I like to do to get rid of this feeling is just to stay alone for some time and just think. Think about every little thing that makes me happy or every little thing I am just grateful about.
So here is the list of things that make me happy right now:

  1. Sweet Tea. I love tea. I love drinking it and getting warm inside or drinking it, relaxing and thinking about how life is beautiful and unpredictable.
  2. Listening to my favourite songs while I am on the road to the school and imagining myself in another world.
  3. Sun. Clear sky and white clouds that are very high and do not predict rain. (I always have loads of pictures of that kind of the sky on my phone :P)
  4. Water. Walking by the river or along the beach near the sea makes me very happy. When I hear the sound of the waves it immediately makes me much calmer. It helps me to relax. I used to have the sound of the waves and seagulls on my phone so whenever I feel stressed I could listen to it. :)
  5. Rain. Even though a lot of people hate rain I love it. It makes me feel more comfortable. Reminds me of me being little and hiding under the blanket with my dolls when I heard the rainstorm outside the window. Under my blanket with my dolls I always felt so cosy and safe. When I walk under rain I always remind myself that I'll get home and there the usual cup of tea will be more precious than usually because I am cold. And that feeling when you get home wet and then take a hot shower... I don't know... I just feel good about it. Rain makes me appreciate home more. <3
  6. Talking with cats and birds. I know it sounds crazy but I do talk with cats and birds when I go for a walk. And you know what? I actually think they understand me. And they don't interrupt me. And I can tell them everything that is in my soul and feel relieved afterwards. And I can hug a cat (of course if it's a home cat) and feel much better after that.
  7. Watching the stars and the moon in the sky. And just wondering how great is the maker of the Universe. :)
  8. Reading a good book and feeling like the main character has become your best friend. Reading books makes me happy because I feel like I've been to the whole new world after I've read a book.
  9. ADVENTURES. Exploring, travelling and meeting new people. I am always very curious about everything. Doing new things is my favourite hobby. Life is too short. Hiding in your room and being sad just because something bad has happened to you doesn't worth it. It's better to overcome your fear and go outside your comfort zone. Take a risk, take a chance and see what may happen to you and to your life. Forget about what has been in the past and live with TODAY.
This is a cat I've met a few days ago on the street. It made me very happy. We had a very nice talk. Meow. I'd like to take it home but unfrotunately I am not allowed. :P

I hope you don't think that I am a completely MAD or CRAZY person now. In fact I actually hope that some of my little things will inspire you and maybe they will also make you happy.
Try to write that kind of list for yourself and maybe share some your little things that make you happy in the comments! I am sure it will help lots of those who will read this blogpost and it for sure will help me. :)

Just Talk

Sometimes all you really need is a good talk. Keeping everything inside of you is not good. It doesn't matter if those are positive or negative emotions or thoughts you are keeping inside of you it still makes your life harder if you never share what you think with other people.
I have had one of those talks lately. And a person I shared it with was not one of my best or even close friends. Sometimes people that seem a little bit different and people that others may not like because they just don't understand them turn out to be the best people to talk with and great listeners. Seriously. Just because other people aren't the same like you does not make them bad. In fact none of my best friends have never listened to me so attentively as that person did. I think things like that happen because most of the time you and your best friend may have different interests and then with some time your best friend just gets tired of listening to you when you talk about those things that are very important to you just because your best friend is not actually that much interested in it.

I have taken this picture today earlier. Just a reminder that we should love each other. :)

But the person I had a very good talk with was someone I was afraid to talk with because everybody thought that person is a weirdo so when I met that person I already had that stereotype in my head which was completely false. That person turned out to be a very nice person and it has turned out that we have a lot in common like common hobbies and thoughts. It has turned out that that person actually knows about existence of my blog and my YouTube channel so that person asked me lots of questions about it, my future plans and my dreams. And for me it was such a relief because I really needed to talk about it with someone for a really long time but none of my friends seemed to be interested in talking about it. Everybody cared more about their own teenagers' problems like boyfriends, girlfriends, school, parents etc.
I felt so happy that I finally got a chance to talk about it and I do not regret it. Things that others were saying about that person were a lie. So instead of allowing others to affect what you think think for yourself and make your own conclusions.
And just talk... talk about the things that worry with people it will make you much less worried and more happier.

Like a Roller Coaster

Sometimes life is like a huge roller coaster. Or maybe not sometimes but... always? Maybe sometimes there are just more peaceful periods of life and sometimes the roaler coaster goes up or down for a very long time and sometimes it feels like ups and downs change each other so fast that you might get tired of it. I can't say which period of the journey is the best but I know for sure that nobody likes when there happen things that bring us down in real life. But the good news is that roller coaster sooner or later will go up anyway. :)

This picture is not taken by me.

Lately my life was full of intense ups and downs all the time. I am glad that when I had a little moment of being down I didn't loose faith that it all is going to be better one day and the "ups" came very fast because I believed they will. :) Sometimes those ups and downs are very big but sometimes they are small that we face daily. DOWNS might steal our joy but we should not let them do it. We should patiently wait for UPS and look for something we can be happy and thankful about.

I can give you some little examples from my own life over the last weeks. For example last week I failed in one competition because I was way too nervous about it and felt sick. I didn't win anything there and didn't show the best of me in my performance as I know I could. It did make me very upset. But later that day I found out I have over 100 subscribers now on my YouTube channel. It made me very happy and the new joy made me completely forget about my failure. Then later that week I've received one very important document for me and found out my last name was spelt wrong. Maybe that's a little problem but it made me very upset because if you receive an important document with the wrong last name it feels almost like you didn't receive anything. I won't be able to prove it's mine anyway. So I was sad. But later that same day I've received another document which was even more important than the first one and there my last name was spelt correctly. So, I was happy again and forgot about the other document. Sometimes it happens. Things that make us sad or happy happen very close to each other. Later that same week I actually found out my performance wasn't so bad and I've received a diploma and a little consolation prize as I didn't win the competition. :) If you don't let your little failures bring you down they won't bring you down. It's you who controls your attitude. And it's only you on whom depends your happiness.

Just remember there are always greater things that wait for you round the corner.

Spring Outfits Ideas :)

 Hello Everybody!
I hope everyone of you know that a couple of days ago I've uploaded a new video on youtube called "Spring Lookbook 2015". I must say it is the most interesting and fun video I've ever filmed and I am very proud of it. And also thank you very much for the very positive feedback on my YT channel, twitter, facebook and more. :)
So I've decided to show you some pictures from this lookbook and explain you more my style and why I love wearing it.

So, the first outfit is very casual for a cold weather. My white scarf is from H&M. Creamy leather jacket from CAMAIEU. I am also wearing high waisted jeans and creamy platform shoes.

Long hair don't care!

Smile! It's cold! :)

Sun :) :) :)

Swing set. My favourites place in the world.

Thumbs up.

Back to the children garden. :D

In the second outfit I've changed only the top. I am wearing a blue shirt that I mentioned in my previous post called "Spring Essentials". Blue is a good color for spring I think.

In my first outfit under the jacket I was wearing a pink top from CAMAIEU and the jewellery that is a gift so I have no idea where is it from. As you can see I love bold accessories and I'm not afraid to wear them in my everyday life. This necklace looks very pretty and it shines in the sun.

Pretending I am "cool".

What am I doing with my hair?

This headband I bought in Croatia as a souvenir and I love wearing it. It looks well with any outfit.

All in all the third outfit is a little bit more girly and I prefer wearing girly style clothes than sporty style. But even if you prefer sporty style you still need some dresses in your wardrobe for more official or festive events. I love this dress because it's very comfy, warm and the material is very soft. A perfect dress for everyday wearing especially if it's not really warm outside.

The last outfit was a floral skirt from Zara and a simple top with a tiny necklace with a key pendant on it. :)
You know I think spring and summer is the right time for floral, floral, floral themed outfits and accessories. And this one is very girly, too.

So, that's it.
In all the outfits I was wearing Rimmel London 111 Kiss of Life bright red lipstick and the same shoes. :)

You can also check out the video to see more and fully enjoy the beauty, outfits and music: https://youtu.be/xBWQ4t3Tp_Q
