Autumn/Winter Fashion Inspiration

 Hi guys!
I've just got a cold because I weren't wearing appropriate clothes for a cold weather we have know. So I'm thinking of some ideas not to let this happen again. Perhaps I should buy some more warm clothes :)
Beneath each inspirational photo that I took from Google there is a comment which I wrote mostly just for myself...
Get inspired!
Casual style. But not everybody can wear these sweaters in such a cool way as she does.

So girly, but not for a very cold weather.

Amazing! I so like the color! : D But probably I would never dare to wear that kind of bracelet.

This is my favorite! So cool!

So good for every day wearing.

Looks nice but in autumn/winter I can't stand wearing coats that you can't zip or button up. It may be very windy sometimes and I don't want to get a cold again.

This is very cute. But probably those french style caps are not for everybody.

Casual style.

It looks very cute but when it's really cold then for sure you should wear a coat, too. ;)

I've never had anything like that. But I'm very interested in trying to wear something like that.

Very beautiful. Especially the bottom is fire! And all together it looks very stylish. The necklace is very pretty. :)

My kind of style.

Very cool. The scarf! And the boots! Amazing!

5 Ways To Start Living An Active Lifestyle

For me there is nothing sadder than to live my day in vain. A meaningless day. A day when you have done nothing useful and haven't made yourself or others happy. I HATE these days. I want every day to be filled with meaning and have little victories every day. It's much more interesting to live your life then when every day you achieve some goals.
But I know from my own experience that sometimes when you are a student or you really have to work hard at your job then you come back home and you're dead... just completely dead... then you don't get enough of sleep and you feel so tired and don't want to do anything. It makes you feel depressed, stressed and unhappy. I know it.
I think the thing is still to keep doing something that you like and that make you happy even when you feel tired because as soon as you will start doing that thing your enthusiasm will make you forget about your tiredness and you'll feel happy again.
However, it's still hard to motivate ourselves to live an active lifestyle in the 21st century. So here are my 5 tips that give me inspiration to be more active. :)

   1. Read a motivational book or listen to motivational speakers!
The little truths that all the motivational speakers and authors teach are very simple. But it's not enough to just know the truth. You need someone to remind you about it from time to time. It's like a bonfire. If you do not add new firewood to the bonfire from time to time it will stop burning. Same in relationships: if you stop spending quality time with your friends your friendship fades in time.
The last motivational book I've read is 100 Ways To Motivate Yourself by Steve Chandler. The true story is that when I started reading this book I was so stressed at school that my every bone and muscle was aching from pain because I would never get enough of sleep and would never relax. But reading this book reminded about how a positive way of thinking can change your life. As soon as I started thinking positively about every situation I had at school I stopped being so stressed out. The back ache ceased in the moment I decided to stay positive and be happy. It was an AMAZING feeling. I do not lie!!!
So find your author or speaker!

  2. Listen to the motivational music!
If you listen to the sad songs all the time you will also feel sad and being sad does not motivate many people. So find some music that motivates you to get up and work. Music that makes you feel happy. And listen to it and sing along loudly early in the morning before you start your day even if you don't feel like that. As soon as you'll start your brain will remember the happy feelings it associates with the song and you'll be energised for the whole day! You can find my playlist here.
  3. Do some physical exercises!
As it's been already said by many people the best rest for your body is not lying in front of the TV for hours it's changing your action. If you've been sitting at your desk for 8 hours then the best relaxation to your body would be something active. Go for a walk or run and after 15 minutes you'll feel better. And when your body feels good you are more motivated to do something than when you feel tired. I personally like to do stretching and gymnastics because it's something you can do without living the house.
  4. Visualise!
Visualise your goals and your dreams! You can draw or do a collage or find pictures that visualise your dreams and goals on the Internet and then put them at the places where you will be able to see them. For example right now on my computer's desktop I have a picture that says: "Adventure awaits". It makes me believe that my life is an adventure and it also makes me want to do something to make it adventurous. Do you understand the idea? Put these notes, pictures and drawings all over you and your brain will do the work when it sees them! The more your brain will get these images the more you will be able to believe that your goals are possible to achieve. ;-)

  5. Surround yourself with positive friends that will believe in you, motivate you and inspire you!
You are the average of 5 people you spend most of your time with. If you spend your time with people that are pessimistic and drag you down all the time then it's not worth it. It's better to be alone then with friends that keep you from reaching you potential...reaching your dreams. Trust me there is no need to be afraid. With some time you'll find the friends that will  support you and understand you. And I think this would be many times a healthier friendship than the first option. Life is too short to waist it on people that keep you from being happy and fully satisfied with your life.

P.S. I've read something like that our brain can only work if it gets oxygen. The more oxygen the better our brain works. To get more oxygen we need to breathe deeply. To make our lungs take deep breaths and be healthy we can do sport like running or swimming. So this is a little life hacker. :P

Last Minute Valentine's Day Gifts

 Hello Everybody!

Valentine's day is already TOMORROW. I don't know if you're going to celebrate it with your second halves or you're going to have a HUGE party for just you and your besties but Valentine's day is a good opportunity to remind the people that are dear to us that we actually love and care about them. As for me I still haven't bought any presents because my studies right now are very intense and I have a lot of work to do. So if you're in the same situation as I am let's take a moment to think of last minute Valentine's day gifts!

First, I think for a girl there will never be a better present than jewelry or accessories. Simply I am kind of shy to go and spend so much money on this necklace that will just add some extra beauty to my look but is not a necessary thing to buy. But if this necklace is a gift from someone else then I'll be super glad to accept it. And a beautiful not cheap packaging will show that you truly care and want the best for the person you love.

If you're trying to find an analogous gift for him then I think a new watch is a good choice. At least my brother would love it. :P

Beautiful necklace and a pair of earrings from H&M.

Next cute thing you can do is to buy this mug from Tiger. Usually this mug is black with a simple image on it. But when you pour the boiled water into it it turns white and has a lot of hearts on it. <3 Mega cute especially when a person doesn't know that this mug has this effect.

Another gift idea is for a book lovers. As I love reading I would be happy to get a romantic book on Valentine's day or any other day actually. My favourite love stories' authors are Gayle Forman, Jane Austin, John Green and Nicholas Sparks of course. ;)

The following two ideas are for the laziest ones. You can buy a kilo of your friend's favourite candies. My favourites are Migle, Candy King (heart shaped for VD) and Haribo. Or you can buy a gift card for a SPA for her or for something more fun and extreme for him. You know your friends better than I do. ;) But don't forget about gift cards.

So, this is it for today's blog post. Have an amazing Valentine's day!

Love you all

Cool Weather Outfits

 Hello Everybody!
The snow have melted. Spring is coming slowly. But still it's not warm enough for me so I am making this cool weather outfits post about my favourite clothes I like to wear in late autumn or in early spring. :)
Even when it's cold I like to keep my outfits warm an cosy but still girly and pretty. And to keep myself warm I wear all of these outfits with tight leggings.

This outfit I usually wear to school. Probably the stripes make me feel businesslike. The sweater is from House. It may look very warm but it isn't. Even in summer evening I would get cold in it so it's better to wear a neutral t-shirt under it. This sweater is also see through so an underneath t-shirt is a good idea. The fabric it's made of is very very soft that's why I bought it. :) And the skirt I got from my sister and it says AMISU on a label. I like this skirt because it doesn't get rumpled so I don't have to iron it. I wear it all the time.

I really like this outfit because it just looks so warm and colourful. And there are these cute cats or foxes on a dress. (How do you think are these cats or foxes? I think foxes. My mum thinks cats.) The dress is from Lavand. It's 100% polyester so for me it feels very soft. And the orange shirt underneath is from Esprit.

It's another dress and a shirt set. Both of them are from Promod. Actually I think Promod usually have a lot of outfits that remind me of France and French fashion but this dress with its pattern remind my parents more of Scandinavian style. It's also a very businesslike outfit so I wear it at school, too or when I go to kind of important serious meetings. I really like this pink colour. It's very soft, warm and girly. <3

For all of these outfits I usually wear these earrings. The bigger ones are from Centro and the smaller ones are just usual little pearl earrings that I've received as a gift. These earrings go very well with a lot of outfits so I use them daily.

This outfit is very similar to the first one. Same skirt. But the top is different. It's a warmer oversize sweater. My dad brought it from the USA because it cost like only 1 or 5 dollars. Well in Latvia you would never find a sweater for that low price so he bought it and gave it to me. First I didn't like it. It seemed way too oversize but then after some washes it has become smaller and I've realised it's actually very cosy so now I'm wearing it almost every day. The label says Croft & Barrow. The pattern is very simple. I like to style it with some accessories. Little pearl earrings I've showed you also go very well with this outfit. ;) And the red colour itself gives a lot of energy and power when days are grey and cloudy and you feel like you just sleep with open eyes all days long of this super long work week.

This last outfit is more a festive one. I rarely wear it. I think these very detailed accurate patterns is what makes it so festive and also a little cut out in front. This is from M.Mix. And it may not look like that but this dress is actually very very warm. So if you want to look festive you don't always need a fluffy dress, patterns also mean a lot. This pattern remind me of East, I think. And the combination of blue and brown is also an unexpected but beautiful. :)

So, this is it for today's post. Which outfit is your favourite?

lots of love
