Festive New Year's Nails & Makeup

 Hello Everybody!
Christmas has passed and New Year is coming. While Christmas is more of a family holiday on New Year some of you may want to throw a huge party with your friends. So as the celebration is getting closer and closer to us we must start preparing ourselves to this big night.
First I'm going to show you the nails I'm planning to have on the night from 31st December to 1st January 2016. I wanted to have something sparkly but didn't find any nail polish like that. In shops all the nail polishes seemed too pricey so I decided to simply buy some glitter which is many times cheaper. Then on the top of an usual transparent nail polish I put some glitter, waited for some 15 minutes and it sticks now perfectly. Though I wouldn't recommend taking a shower with this kind of manicure as more likely then you'll end up being covered all in glitter from your head to your toes(maybe only not if you'll use special gloves for the shower? but still it's not trustful... I wouldn't risk). It looks really cool and shines so bright in the sunlight better than any nail polish. I made only one nail like that the rest four nails I covered with a red nail polish same one I used last year which is Butterfly Ashanti 285. It's a very bright red but doesn't stay for long. :)

So this is the end result. :)

I really like it.

And for makeup I'm not yet quite sure about what am I doing for my eyes but for my lips I'll be using Essence XXXL Longlasting lipgloss in 07 silky red. It's a very beautiful bright red and I really like wearing it because it's lighter than a usual lipstick and lasts for a long time.

And here are the swatches.

Then about my eyes. For a liquid eyeliner and mascara I'll use my Chanel goodies because they're really longlasting and I won't have to worry that these products will start to go down my face because I know for 100% they won't because they're good. You'll have to keep your makeup look good for the whole night so it's better to use something good quality. And I personally think it's better to buy once a good quality product and then use it rarely for important events than buy lots of cheap products and never be satisfied.

Then I'm not sure if I'll wear any eye shadow on the top of my concealer. If I will then it will be just a shimmery champagne colour and may be in the corner (that goes out) I'll put some glitter I put on my nails. But you have to make sure there is enough of concealer so your glitter sticks to the eyelid otherwise you'll just have glitter all over your face which believe me isn't pretty. I say out of my own sad life experience. :)

So that's it. I hope now we're all ready to party. Don't be afraid to try and experiment more. There is still some time and it's always fun to play a little bit with your makeup.
 Happy New Year!

Christmas Decorations & Christmas Tree

  Hi guys!
Remember last week I said that I haven't decorated my room christmassy yet. So this week I finally managed to do that together with my family.
That's why I decided to share it with you so you can also get inspired and decorate your room! :)

If you want to see more of my decorations then check out this video below. :)

Vacation Under the Sunshine | Outfits Ideas

  Hello Everybody!
I know it's winter. And at least in Latvia it's very cold. But there are a lot of people that go to warmer countries during their winter holidays. So I decided to share with you my comfortable and pretty outfit ideas for the vacation under the sunshine. :)
First is the dress with a denim jacket. I really like it because it's a dress but at the same time it's not too much. The dress is very light and perfect for the hot days. Just looking at this picture makes me miss summer and other times I had opportunity to rest under the sunshine abroad. <3 It's very comfortable. And denim jacket makes it look cooler than it actually is. The shoes I've picked up goes well with the dress but if you're not a professional at walking on the heels then it's better to choose sandals you'll see in my next outfit. Though I personally don't get tired of walking in these shoes. :) I also style it with some accessories that don't stand out but are cute and girly. The bracelet (for a wrist) is a gift from Uganda and the green bracelet (for a leg) is a gift from the USA (unfortunately, I don't remember from which shop it is from because I've thrown away the packaging). This green bracelet has a little stone on it, agate, if I'm not mistaken. It's very beautiful and the packaging said it's a stone of friendship. :) The earrings are also a gift and they go perfectly well with the outfit. When I wear this outfit I feel LIGHT and this is the most amazing feeling to have when you wear something. It just feels very naturally.

Dress: H&M
Jacket: Lindex
Shoes: Elche

Second is a high waisted skirt with a cropped top. This outfit looks more festive because the skirt has rose gold buttons on it. Top has a cut out in the back and a very beautiful flower print. The sandals are very comfortable. Even my Mum used to steal them because you can walk in them forever and never get tired. Sandals also have some beautiful golden details that makes it look better. For accessories I decided to go silver only because I think too many colours would be already too much. All of the accessories are very exquisite and sparkly.

Top: H&M
Skirt: H&M
Sandals: Aldo
Watch: Timex

Third is more casual. It's a plain pair of jeans and a top. I like these jeans very much because they're very light and it makes them look very cool in the sunlight. The top is 75% cotton & 25% silk (it's very light) so I really like the feeling of it. It's a great outfit if you plan to do something more active during your day off... like climbing or a lot of walking maybe. And what makes it more cool is the earrings. I got them from Greece. They are white-pink and have little sparkly stones on them. I like it. :) There is also a picture of some bracelets that would go very well with it, too. A little handbag you can wear across your shoulder is also very big plus when you're having a trip and go explore something and can't take a huge bag with you.

Top: H&M
Jeans: H&M
Handbag: Pull&Bear

I hope you enjoyed this blogpost and it inspired you for some ideas when you'll have your vacation under the sunshine.

Love you lots,
xx

Favourites & Birthday Gifts Part 2

As some of you may remember I wrote a blog post about Favourites & Birthday Gifts Part 1 last week so today I am continuing. :) If you want to read the Part 1 click here.

This summer I've bought a Rimmel London Lasting Finish Foundation with SPF 20. It's really good. Quite heavier than the Wake Me Up Foundation but I like it anyway because I wanted full coverage and the SPF for summer was also very good. I've bought it in shade 203 True Beige and it went perfectly with my summer tan. :) So, I don't regret buying it even though in fall/winter time I don't really use it as a)my skin gets paler, b)on everyday basics when I go to school I don't really care if it's full coverage foundation or not (I use something lighter now usually).
Then I've also bought a sponge (you can see it next to the foundation). Originally it was blue but as I always forgot to wash it it turned into the colour of my foundation... hehe... This sponge has a very convenient form. I really like blending in foundation or sometimes just simply massaging my face with it. :)

Next thing I've bought recently is Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick 30 which is very beautiful dark cherry shade (I think but some other people say it's plum). And I accidentally deleted a picture of wearing it on my lips so I'll just show you a screenshot from my Instagram :D
so this is how it looks like on the lips

P.S. sorry forgot to take a pic of the lipstick itself. :/

So I really really like those kind of dark shades to wear during the fall/winter time. And I think this is going to become my new favourite lipstick ever. Though sometimes I wish it was even darker...

I've also been buying a lot of candles. The first candle I've bought this year was by Airwick orange and festive spice scented. I really liked it. I lighted it so often that it was used in just one week. Then I've bought some more candles but unfortunately the package doesn't say the name of a brand. I've bought them at Jysk by a very good price. I really like buying candles there. Jysk has a big selection of scented candles and the prices are friendlier than in other shops. At the moment my favourite scent is Strawberry Shortcake.

  Now about gifts.
I've received some skincare products from Stenders. The Verona olive bath salt I've already mentioned in a previous post here. And along with that I've received a Rudy Black Lily shower gel & body lotion. I really like the bath salt. It smells good, cleanses good and I use it as a body scrub. The shower gel and body lotion have a very specific smell of lilies so  if you're not a fan of lilies then I wouldn't recommend that. Though I really like the feeling of these skincare products and as I've read they have a very organic consist I still don't like the smell. But the packaging is very pretty, isn't it? It also would be very convenient to take these shower gel and body lotion on a road because they're small. ;)

Another gift I really like is Estee Lauder's brushes. They are SO pretty. I haven't used them a lot yet but I think for everyday use they're going to be alright.

Next gift isn't really connected with makeup/beauty but it's also very cool. My Mum has brought me it from Sweden. It's a colouring book. Something similar to a "Secret Garden" but only about the sea, "Kreativitet och Mindfulness". When I have some free time or need to collect my thoughts I like colouring. :)

A little owl wallet is something I've dreamt about for some time but never got to buy myself. It's just so comfortable to have one when you don't want to take your big wallet where you have all your cards and other stuff. And this one is also very very cute. It looks like the one you could buy in Accessorize.

The other thing I really like recently is having little reminders all other my desk. Something nice like: "Live To Overcome" or "Never Give Up". These things help me to cheer up when I don't want to do my homework. :D

This reminder is also a gift from one person. :) It means a lot.
And the name of the flower is Chinese Rose (also a gift). I really like it, too.

The last thing is also very cool and very important at this COLD season. It's a blanket with sleeves!!! That's such a cool idea. I got my from Tiger. And I really like using it. It keeps me very warm. ^_^

So that's it. :) I hope you liked this blog post. If you did then please click "Share". :) :) :)

Love You All

Ways To Relax & Feel Christmassy

 Hello Everybody!
The past two weeks or maybe even the whole month has been a very stressful time. Final tests, marks and other school projects just make me SO nervous. I haven't been feeling Christmassy for the whole December as I did it last year. But today I think something has changed and I have some progress in it... So, in this blogpost mainly you'll just read my tips about ways to relax after a stressful week/day and how to feel Christmassy. :)
First, what really makes me relaxed lately are CANDLES! I have an obsession with them. I think I may start spending more of my money on candles than I do on makeup which is !crazy! for me. All of my candles are scented. That's exactly what makes me sooo relaxed... different scents. I love oranges/vanilla/cinnamon/roses and many other scents but my favourite is strawberry. I've had only strawberry scented candles for the whole last winter but this year I'm experimenting with different scents. At the moment it is a strawberry candle's week which makes me very happy.

Second, I like to have a Christmassy tea. The green tea with cinnamon and oranges makes me feel both relaxed and Christmassy which is very good. When I really have time I'll make myself a boiled tea but when I don't I'd take a tea in the tea bags. One of my favourite tea is called "1001 nights". I have never purchased it but I used to drink it a lot at my friends' and it is amazing.

Third. On my birthday I received a VERONA Olive Bath Salt from Stenders. When I firstly smelled it in the room I didn't like it but then in a bath with a hot water it smelled quite differently and this scent made me feel very relaxed. Sometimes I use this salt instead of a body scrub and it also makes me very good. So, probably what I'm trying to tell is a nice bath/shower, a pamper night, a body peeling will help you get relaxed as well.

Now, let's move to the things that will help you feel Christmassy. Of course there are Christmasy candles and tea, too but there are also other things.
First is MUSIC. It really is the most important for me to feel Christmassy. Music influence you, your thoughts, your attitude. So the optimistic and festive songs will help you feel that way. My favourite Christmas albums are by Ariana Grande, Michael Buble and Justin Bieber. :))) But of course you can listen to any other singers. ;)

Second, I like to have at least one Christmas related book to read around the Christmas time that would be about the miracles that may happen during those winter holidays and the magic of Christmas. Last year I read Zoe Sugg's "Girl Online" and this year I've read a collaboration of John Green, Maureen Johnson & Lauren Myracle "Let It Snow". I like all of these books. "Let It Snow" contains three little romantic Christmas stories that are somehow related and the language it's written in is very modern and easy to read. Very simple and magical. :)

Third is to decorate your room which I haven't done yet but I hope I will soon. If you want to check out my last year's Christmas decorations click here. :) Except decorating a room you can also "decorate" yourself: start wearing Christmas related clothes, accessories, nails or more festive makeup. It all makes the atmosphere more joyful.

And last but not least you can watch some Christmas films (my favourite is Home Alone) if you want to have a Christmassy feeling. And if you're just very tired you can watch your old favourite film which always make you feel more relaxed. I like watching "Breakfast at Tiffany's", "Wild Child" (the one that is with Emma Roberts) and "Gossip Girl"(it's not really a film but anyway).

I hope this post will be helpful to some of you. Tell me what you like to do to feel Christmassy and relaxed? :)
Love You All,
xoxo

First Job Experience

 Hi guys!
Just sharing with you another vlog! That's so fun! So much have changed since the first day of work and the last one... But still it was fun. I don't remember a day at work when I wouldn't laugh at least once. Sometimes I was just laughing with no reason, sometimes my co-workers made me laugh and sometimes clients.
I think altogether I don't regret getting a summer job. It was very hard physically but it was a nice experience... now I know I am not able to get a job where you have to stand for 12 h on your feet. :D
Even if you won't enjoy this video, I'm still gonna make similar videos like this because these are my memories I don't want to forget... <3

Tell me about your fist work day's experience! :))))

First off all I want to thank the lovely Kim for nominating me! xx
You are AMAZING!
Check out her blog: http://londonstagraam.blogspot.com/

The Rules:

  • Once nominated, make a post thanking and linking your nominator's blog.
  • Include the Liebster Award's sticker in the post as well (you can copy it from above).
  • Nominate other new bloggers that have 200 or less followers who you think are worthy of this award and include their links in your post. Also, make sure that you let them know they've been nominated by commenting on one of their posts. You can nominate the person who nominated you.
  • Answer the 10 questions asked to you by your nominator (these questions should be on their post). And make 10 questions of your own for your nominees to answer.
  • Finally, copy these rules onto your post.
1. Whats your all time favourite lipstick?
Ohhh... it's hard to pick up only one... I'd say Essence 06 Barely There... It's a dark purple-brown colour. Even though one stylist said it doesn't fit me and make me look  a lot more old and serious... so I'm confused
2. What do you do on a pamper night?
hmmm... haven't had one in a long time... haha... body peeling & face masks probably ;-D3. What is your favourite candle scent?
Strawberry... I love strawberries <34. You can only wear two make up products for the rest of your life. What do you choose and why (mean one, aren´t I)?
That's easy. I'd go for a concealer to hide my dark circles under eyes and spots and a lipstick. For me those are the most important products 'cause I'm quite dark so I already have bold eyebrows and eyelashes naturally. :)5. Whats the one product you just can´t live without?
From makeup: lip balm (my lips are ALWAYS dry). From skincare: moisturising cream (I have a very dry skin)6. Do you have a sweet tooth? What is your favourite?
Yes. I am a crazy doughnuts lover. It's just crazy. ^_^7. If you had the chance to move to another city/ country would you do it. Yes? Where do you want to live?
Yes. Why not? I think Italy. I've never been there but my parents have. It's such a sunny, warm and a beautiful country. Also its culture, history, architecture... Also Italian food is my favourite one. So, yes...8. When did you start getting into make up?
At the age of 16 (but I always used lip glosses since the age of 7, I think). :) And I'm only 18 now so I'm still quite a newbie at it. :)9. What do you prefer - dark lip or nude lip?
Dark. I don't know. It makes me feel more powerful.10. What do you like most about my blog?
You're so honest and open and easy to understand. Beautiful pictures and the context is good because it's always so real. You pour your heart into it. Reading your blog just makes me so happy  :) even though I don't often get a chance to read it. :( If I don't know what makeup product better to buy. I always check out your blog. :))) Kim, I just love you. <3

 I nominate:

My questions:
1. What do you eat for breakfast? (I eat chocolate and I know it's not healthy so I'm curious what other people eat :P)
2. What's the name of your favourite waterproof eyeliner?
3. What are you doing in your life currently? (studying/working/travelling)
4. What education do you have?
5.What are your dreams?
6. What is your everyday hairstyle?
7. What is your favourite song?
8.Do you have a planner? (if yes, then how far have you already planned your life?)
9.What is the name of your favourite body moisturiser?
10.Tell me a funny story from your life. :)

Love you all
xx

Favourites and Birthday Gifts Part 1

 Hello Everybody!
As I have been away almost all summer and autumn I've hurried to buy lots of makeup stuff so in this post I'll tell you about my favourite purchases. And also in November I've received some awesome gifts so I'll tell about some of them now and then there will be a part two. :-)
So, in the summer I have finally bought a legendary Rimmel Kate Moss 107 dark red lipstick. I've heard about it SO MUCH and I've tried a tester of it in Drogas many, many times... I wanted it very badly and I've bought it. I must say I don't regret even though I don't use it often. It's a very beautiful dark colour. it really looks darker in real life than in videos and pictures you see online. I use it more for the evenings. And another lipstick I've been using a lot recently is Nivea Beaute Smoothie 21 pink lipstick I got from Mum. It has a little bit of shimmer and the colour is quite neutral so I'm not afraid to wear it during the daytime. And I can style it with literally any outfits. It's very nice.

Then my another very much loved lip products are those two Essence lip glosses. The Essence 29 cute pink lip gloss has a very beautiful shimmery baby pink colour. And the Essence XXXL long lasting lip gloss 07 Silky Red has a bright rich red colour. I like to wear it for the nights out. Both lip glosses have a very light texture so it feels very nice.

The L'Oreal Paris Superliner Superstar eyeliner in black I got at Drogas as a gift and I really like it. It's very precise and easy to apply(I think I already said about it in the previous post, xoxo). But it's not waterproof that's a minus.

The palette TCW The Colour Workshop I got from my friend Nadine as it's colours didn't fit her well. I quite like all the shades of pink and purple in this palette especially the dark ones. I like to use them in the crease of my eyelid sometimes when I want to go for a more special look. Once in "Get Ready With Me:Prom" video I used a very similar colour and I liked it. You can watch it here. Those eyeshaddows are very pigmented and stay for a long time. It also has a mirror at the back. ;-)

The Channel products I didn't buy myself I received them as a gift for my 18th birthday from my friends. I really like those Chanel's mascara and eyeliner. First of all, that's because they're very long lasting, smell good and easy to wash off. But as the eyeliner is liquid it's very hard for me to apply and sometimes I'm very impatient to wait until it'll dry so I just screw everything up. And the mascara is more of an everyday mascara as it doesn't give eyelashes any volume it just emphasises them a little bit. :)

Another product I've bought during the summer is this Golden Rose Rich Color 46 nail polish. I really like it. The colour is neutral, fits good with everything. And because of the maxi brush it's very easy to apply. Like one hand movement and it's ready. :)

I think for this time this is it as there are a lot more and it's just not possible to tell about all of them in just one post so until the next time.
